Frances Yates

Istoric reputat, Frances A. Yates (1899–1981) a fost unul dintre cei mai importanti specialisti in Renastere. In 1977 a primit titlul de Dame of the British Empire. A predat istoria Renasterii la Universitatea din Londra si a fost membra a mai multor societati si institute culturale (British Academy, Royal Society of Literature, Warburg Institute, Lady Margaret Hall). Universitatile din Edinburgh, Oxford, East Anglia si Exeter i-au conferit tiluri onorifice.
